Pierre, Zina
Zina Pierre is President and CEO of the Washington Linkage Group, Inc., a full service lobbying and public relations firm incorporated and based in Washington, D.C. She served eight years in the Clinton Administration in various capacities with the last position being Special Assistant to the President for Intergovernmental Affairs. In that role she acted as liaison to the nation's mayors and county officials. Prior to serving in the White House, Ms. Pierre was Director of the President's Small Business Administrations' Welfare to Work Initiative that created public/private partnerships with local government and the business community hiring more than 200,000 former welfare recipients. She was also Director of Communications for the Department of Labor Women's Bureau. Prior to her activities in the public sector, Ms. Pierre worked in the television broadcast industry for more than 10 years as a writer, field producer and production assistant. She currently serves on the board of several prominent organizations including: The National Council of Negro Women, the Black Chamber of Commerce of Annapolis, DC Art Commission, the National Advisory Board of the Democratic National Committee Women's Vote Center, and the DNC African American Leadership Council. She serves as Chair of the Board for the Atlanta based National Youth Connection. Zina Pierre is a licensed minister and is currently pursuing her Masters of Divinity degree at the Howard University School of Divinity.
